I am going to try this recipe! I feel I should be able to. 🙂 lol. My one question is how long should I sear my chicken? I plan to use legs. Also, if I am understanding correctly, I am going to sear the chicken first and then bake in the oven until finished? Correct? Whats a good bake time, once I’ve seared the meat?

    Thanks again!

Hello Nma! I am a high school teacher in Kentucky, and my students and I are holding a Nigerian food day (we are reading Things Fall Apart in class). I’m so excited to try your recipe for Asaro.
Question-does it matter which type of yams we use? I’m going to a large international food store for supples.

    Thanks!
